1998 Ford Escort ZX2

The Ford Escort zx2 is in for a tough competition as the market is flooded with
different kinds of great cars. But it has been fighting since the 80's and it
sure is not gonna back down now! Offered in two trims, the base and the LX level,
the Escort sedans and wagons are driven by a 110-horsepower 2.0-liter overhead
cam four-cylinder engine, matched with a standard five-speed manual transmission
or an optional four-speed automatic. Though the 110 hp is not exactly an earth
shattering boost, it is a 22 point pump from previous Escort engines.

The Escort ZX2 is offered as a single model, with a Sport model as an option.
It uses a 130-hp 2.0-liter twin cam 16-valve four-cylinder engine which is the
only engine available to the zx2 and is exclusive to the coupe. The Sport model
distinguishes itself from the base trim on the appearance stage, boasting a striking
set of 15-inch aluminum alloy wheels, a rear spoiler and a variety of trim items.
Inside, the 1998 Ford Escort zx2 is covered with great paneling from the instrument
area to the door panels. Interior materials and fabrics are rich fabric and top
rate, an unexpected plus from a car at a low price range. Interior space is surprisingly
big, with a lot of leg room to occupy.
