2001 Ford Escort ZX2

Like its nearest cousins, the 2001 Ford zx2 sports the spunky design which carries
fluid lines and sleek look. Fitted with a 2.0-liter twin-cam 16-valve four-cylinder
engine, this front wheel driven car is a easy to drive and responds immediately
to touch. The standard transmission is a five-speed manual, while the four speed
automatic is optional.
Though the Escort tag was dropped for this 2001 version, the zx2 still retains the features and
equipments found in previous models. It still shares the same chassis with other
Ford cars, and standard safety features have been retained like the dual airbags
and side impact protection.
An ideal feature of the zx2 is the comfort the interior gives to its passengers,
not only is it spacious and airy; it is also equipped with comfortable bucket
seats which is great for long trips. Instruments are well displayed in the sporty
panel/dash, and top quality fabrics cover the interior belying the actual cost
of the coupe! Air conditioning is not a standard equipment but can be had for
an extra cost. The automatic A/C sense when the temperature is 50 degrees Fahrenheit
and turns on automatically; it also shuts off with hard acceleration to improve
engine boost. Neat, huh?!
